Current Projects
I work with multiple projects and often end up blending some projects with each other on the way. If something does not work out as the way I had envisioned it, I end up cutting up those artworks, sketches and using them for collages, or as something to use for future new projects.
I enjoy re-embracing ideas, and this year I have started studying some old inspirations in new mediums, while simultaneously working with handmade botanical inks, dyes, and some copper ink in the coming months. I am also dabbling in some photography projects, and enjoying the learning process.
The100DayProject2023
I decided on doing the 100 Day project this year with a new medium for me; gouache paints. So far the process has been encouraging, restrictive, fun, and surprising. I decided on painting some clouds for some cloud studies. This has been a fun and relaxing project and I plan to continue it on some bigger sizes of paper.
'simpler times'
A series of acrylic studies on canvas dedicating to the effervescent moments of the day; sunlight and shadows playing on the wall, toys lying on the bed and floor, everchanging yet almost still sky, laughs, hugs, giggles, food, growing plants, running feet, awe inspiring questions.
